Come…
lie upon this wintered chest
dream with me as snow
covers a wandered path
do not worry over scars I carry
they were not meant to heal
but have served well
in tether of battered flesh
protecting a heart
that beats only for you

ARH- Thank you for the wonderful compliment. I'm so glad you enjoyed this.

Dixie- Thank you so much. It's always a pleasure to have you here.

Lauren- And I of you. Luv ya!

Terri- Of course not, I would be honored.

Helen- No, I'm the lucky one and thanks for reminding me, as I fear I take her for granted all too often.

i agree with maureen,
its amazing what poets such as yourself can say with so few words! fantastic!

Someday I'll fly, Someday I'll soar,
Someday I'll be So damn much more
Cause I'm bigger than my body
Gives me credit for.
