“Go to Hell”, she said to me.
“I’m already there”, I replied.

That was how it started
or ended.
It’s all the same
breathing, drowning...
just gas or liquid
in between
death and here.

Words don’t break bones
but they tear apart sanity,
humanity
and any semblance of decency
I’ve ever known.

And I have nothing left
to lose.
I’m already gone.

Words hurt more than anything, words are the most powerful instruments or weapons on the face of the earth...

~ARH

True poets don't write with the ink of quill or pen, but with the ink of their heart~

I remember a man once said "If there is nothing in life worth living, then our existence is nothing more then nihility."

I know the angst of what this poem is relating to, and it works on so many different levels. I really enjoyed reading this, cheers

Words are such clumsy things that there simply are no experts at using them. Sometimes the only helps are gentleness and a determination to do no hurt. May you find both, and meet both next time.

I hope for you a soft landing
for your heart, this poem ached
but one we can all relate to I
think...very well written.
take care.

Awwww, you porch puppy, you. I'm sorry that your feelings were hurt. Peoples words are so hard sometimes. They can hurt worse than a knock up beside the head...and the pain lasts longer sometimes!!
Hugs to you, Duncan

Words can start wars. Loose lips sink ships. Familiar I am to these words you wrote, all too familiar. Sending a hug.I know how much words can steal from you when in the wrong hands.
Love,
Terri~

"That was how it started

It’s all the same"

It's all the same?  Then what is the common denominator?

I know...

Words inflict wounds that never really heal...they just sort of scab over and you constantly pick at them....ouch
