Coming Out I have had tough times before, sometimes i panic and shut the door. Never have i been so scared in my life, and caused such anger and strife. You see...I came Out today, that's what all the fuss is about. My family can do nothing now, but cry, scream and shout. I thought i could hide it, I was prepared to do just that. But i am in love now, tis' the reason for our chat. So if you cannot accept us, just please know this much. What is keeping me together, is the warmth of her touch. I have done a lot of good in my life, and yet this is all you see. You can only see hatred, you cannot see me. The thing you need to know, is that i will not and cannot change. I understand this poem more than you know. I too am gay, and I know how hard it can be. But I'm glad to see you had the courage to be who you are and to be free. Your family will understand in time.
