Good King Balladeer
sung to the tune of Good King Wenceslaus

Once there was King Balladeer
Who struggled with his rhyming.
He didn't write very clear
And his verses lacked good timing.

But he posted anyway
Despite his poor reception.
We couldn't make him go away,
That was our perceh-ep-tion.

He tried to woo the ladies fair
With his schmaltzie wording.
Dragging a woman by her hair
Couldn't have caused more cur-ur-sing.

But he posted anyway
Despite his poor reception.
We couldn't make him go away,
That was our perceh-ep-tion.

He finally came to his undoing
When he attacked poor Toe and Long John.
All his womanizing and pursuing
Were exposed by those he picked on.

But he posted anyway
Despite his poor reception.
We couldn't make him go away,
That was our perceh-ep-tion.

heh - Ol' 'Deer will think twice before getting into the Christmas spirit around me again.

Ahhh you're back and I'm sitting in front row to watch the show. I'm enjoying myself already.

You got me wrong there in my answer to Balladeer, I meant that because he made fun of you, he made me laugh, but wouldn't make YOU laugh.

I told you, I'm always sitting in front row when you're on stage Good to see you sailor.

I should have waited until after Christmas.  Poor ol' 'Deer has been struggling hard enough to keep his chin up (staring at women's decolletage has permanently weakened his neck muscles).  Now he's got even more incentive to walk around like that.

King Wenceslaus is gonna crown you for this one!!!

You always were the smart one of the two of ya (which isn't saying an awful lot). Good work, you insensitive man, you!

I daresay that you three need a webring, with the poems linked to responses and poetic rebuttals...and reprisals. To this day, I can't get 'Toerag Boy and Blow-up Sue' out of my mind, and would definately be delighted to see the 'answer' poems.

Good job LJA....loved it..

Balladeer, you gonna let him get away with this?

Keep up the good work LJA, you've got him on the run now..

I'll be looking forward to your response to this "deer"...he deserves everything you say about him....

well if this doesn't make one laugh
right out loud, I don't know what will!
Excellent witty write LJ.

Watch out though, Deer will be coming soon,
with a trick of his own no doubt!!

Happy Holidays,
Amy
