Canal-ed Dreams

pausing
in the running
of time
finds me
on the other
side of my heart
where Venice
has a boat
rocking in salt
upon a
fresh water sea
pushing away
my heart

Salt has more substance than fresh....boats float higher in it, can carry more and are harder to sink.
