While The Hours Tick Away

Found I could not sleep
Nothing much I could do
I began counting stars
With wishes to persue

Stars kept me company
It was way past midnight
Serenely they gathered
Each glistening bright

My mind began seeking
Where could dreams be
Another sleepless night
Just the stars and me

Kneeling here on my bed
As stars and moon I view
Lonesome is the feeling
Dreams where are you

While the hours tick away
Again I tossed and turned
As dreams escaped me
Longing for you returned
