It seems my poem’s left again,
He was right here, in this here pen,
And now he’s gone, I know not where,
And so I sit, my notebook bare.
Perhaps you’ve seen my little poem,
If you have, please send him hoem,
(I talk funny when in verse
it is my tragic, he’s a fool curse,
or says my wife, my darling rose,
but I digress, my rant I close)
Now I am back, but not my ode,
I searched the whole of my abode,
He’s seems to do this all the time,
Especially when I force his rhyme,
And then he hates my sick clichés,
I use so oft, in love bouquets,
So he takes off, goes on the lam,
To write alone, to seek enjamb,
O’ poem mine, please hear my plea,
I need you back, don’t banish me
To odist’s hell, to write in prose,
Of syntactic lingo, I do not knows.
Oh there you are, all fine and fit,
Let's get to work, there's an ode to writ.
