To catalogue the experience of time:

Anxiety doesn’t leave easily.
It’s October and the nutmeg air smells
So inviting. Am I included in that crowd?
The ghosts of summer linger on beaches
Sandy-haired and chiseled in muscle-shorts;
The wind will begin to dissipate
Wisps like shadows that cling to clouds.

“Sweater weather” she calls it
And I’m ready with silver
Wool and scarf,
The wares of image and warmth.

All is ruddy and in need.
Rejuvenation in the falling of leaves.

Sight is an always awful beginning

I like... lots. Very visual and I knew exactly what you meant about the nutmeg smell. Great write, and love the title.

Astro,
   I really like this a lot:
The ghosts of summer linger on beaches
Sandy-haired and chiseled in muscle-shorts;
The wind will begin to dissipate
Wisps like shadows that cling to clouds

Mattter-of-fact, I liked the total, but didn't see the point of pasting it all right back here!
