What should one do when....
Mountains don’t move, rivers
cease to flow....when the well
dries slowly into a single droplet?

Should the crumpled words be smoothed
into silk?   Should the well again find
the waters dark?  Should the swirling
thoughts of a wandering mind be calmed...
That one might write yet again...

I have stumbled, the sharpness of
stone shards bruise me.  A single tree
awaits me upon a perilous trail....I am
lost....

My Oasis beckons me, ...but where?
Sooth of warm flowing waters lies
dormant, in need of a moment.
The last stop is nigh.

My flask hears not the slosh of my throat’s
sooth.   My hands are bare of the bread that
sustains me...My feet have carried the weight
of a thousand souls.

Beneath the shading palm I shall lie....in
hopes that dreams shall quench the thirst
I feel.   Tired eyes fight the darkness of
slumber...  I wait....in dreams

I am there.

Peace and rest. Nothing is better for a weary soul. Except perhaps a poem from a man of humble spirit and telling ability.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Wow! Can I wait with you, I can think of nothing better than thou beside me in the wilderness.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

So well expressed dear poet...
Know this feeling well.
Take heart...the rains come.
