Listening to every heart

Visualizing

Doesn’t take much
to get one thinking, again,
again…

let a song of someone
be a precedent once more,
once more

and you start thinking…
of certain things that could be missing:

take away my arms,
I can still talk;

take away my voice
I can still write;

take away my sight,
I can still hear;

take away my hearing,
I can still see…

But take away,
if you were able,
the one thing that I could not do without,
my imagination

and I don’t know
that I could survive.

Just….

Imagine.

~*~

Dedicated to the memory
Of a song, Imagine
And an artist, who did just that.

Hmmm... There are things worse than dying.
Excellent write dear Karilea.

Sunshine,
if you took away my imagination I think I'd be locked up. Lovely soft sentiment.

I think that is when I stumble so hard...
when something has taken my imagination,
for without it.....I would not,  could not
be a poet...

Thanx KJ,  this is such a true and beautiful
write.

Gosh, Karilea, I can't fathom being without my imagination or dreams. How pathetic that would be.

A delightful write dear lady.

My dear Sunshine, God in his infinite wisdom brought me here tonight to read your words. I needed it. Wish I could explain, but don't know how. Your photograph is beautiful
Thank you for saying what I needed to hear.
Hugs

K-
When I count my blessings and give thanks for what I hold dear, I will remember to thank Him for my imagination.  For there is so much comfort and wisdom found there...and in the imagination of others.

Yes, this brought me comfort, dear friend.  Thank you.  And the dedication, John Lennon, his words and imagination, may they live on and continue to inspire beautiful words, thoughts, and "imagines" such as yours.

I am keeping this one.

I had a dream last night
you came to me on silver wings of light
I flew away with you in painted sky
Was it real
Is it what you see,touch or feel

Right away I thought of Ernest Hemingway and the pain he experienced in his life...especially when he felt he was losing his imagination and creativity...James
