I watched an old lobo wolf one day
at the zoo.

Pacing restlessly back and forth.
His eyes filled with not really knowing
exactly what to do.

The bars, you could tell, was getting in
his way.  Pacing, just pacing around, in
that big iron clad cage.

Our eyes met briefly and sorrow, for that
moment, clung to sorrow.

Both realizing, confinement comes
in various sizes and shapes of
iron cages and each soul must come
to terms all on their own.

an interesting thought in this poem.

"sorrow met sorrow" I love that part, and the ending is just wonderful.
