But first, a gush of peace This sentient heart; This gentle mind; I gaze into the heavens, vast oceans, inky sky Pondering o'er dreams and sources that divide Each breathless gulp, held within my breast, forsake my senseless rest Realms wide and bright; Night the holy time of peace, bow down to greet me That strife may close, kindling loves respite and gentle repose; Blessed awareness, heartfelt emotion; Cast heartache a commodity, ne'er the other side of midnight !
