She sits by the window in her little room
And wonders how this came to be
Alone, and forgotten by the one that she loves
With no one to care, or to see...

She left all she knew to fly into his arms
To a land that was strange and so cold
Not knowing that she would be naught but a slave
And her dreams would be soon growing old...

The one that she loved so betrayed her in deeds
She discovered what was meant not to see
Now he's taken away any kindness or hope
And replaced it with futility...

It's hard to be left to the silence and fears
Yet harder to lose what you shared
Alone and forgotten, is that all there is
What I'd give for just one friend who cared...

very sad write...but with that
sadness I honestly do believe will
come strength and healing. you have
many friends here--do not forget that
during this hard time! take care.

This I know~  I tell you Sunnyone,  I have done a lot of soul searching lately, and have come away with the fact that I can't let my sadness get bigger than I am, that's just too big of a price to pay.

Hugs to you sweet poetess~ Loved your poem!

Your poem is achingly powerful and obviously born from a broken heart.  Remember, for every rogue there is a prince, a salve for every burn, a mountain for every valley.  Make God grant you now your mountain of hope.

I too, was hoping that this was simply superb poetry and not a true reflection of your own life.

When our world turns upside down, it is difficult to ever picture it right side up again. I have so much compassion for the painful situation that you find yourself in, but perhaps all has occurred to effect the changes that need to be made to bring the sun back into your life. Catalysts are not always rosy things in one's life, but they can get the ball rolling us in a direction that can bring the joy back into it!

Loving, healing hugs,
Linda

You are all so very precious to me right now, and I no longer feel so 'alone'.  I don't believe in airing personal pain as a whole, but I needed to reach out, just to survive, and there were so many hands holding mine, that I knew I could gather strength from them, and from you.  Thank you all very much, and today is a new day, a day of Thanksgiving, and one that I will share with you in thoughts......

Now will someone please send me a piece of pumpkin pie, as these Brits don't know how to make one!!!!

Life goes on, and so do I, because of my many wonderful friends here...

Sunny

I must say, I did so hope that this was not a reflection of your life.  I am so sorry for your pain.  On a personal note, there were many lines in this verse that I once knew very well.  I have been out of the relationship (marriage) for two years now, and I have never felt stronger.  That is my prayer for you.  May He grant you that same strength. Please remember, time is a wonderful healer.

Thinking of you this Thanksgiving evening.

People that are friends will love you no matter whether they approve of your choices, or not. They are there to pick you up, and boost you back on your feet. Approving only means they are putting their opinion of what you should do ahead of you yourself. If anyone turns away from you for the choice you made to be with this person then they value their opinion more than they value you.
Look for people that are real with you. Sending hugs. Look to the Lord for your healing, and he will send the right people in your path. If this is not about you then it still stands for the person you know, and this is about. Blessings I pray come your way, so many you can't count them, because they overflow!!!
Love,
Terri~
