Broken by children
one cherry branch hangs listless,
its blossoms dying.

We raided plum trees.  We were very careful
not to break the branches...but then we
played "leap" with a Japanese candle pine...
and broke the branch.

There's more to the story.

It may now end up
in free verse.

Lauren~

I had a dream last night
you came to me on silver wings of light
I flew away with you in painted sky
Was it real
Is it what you see, touch or feel

Pretty...I felt sad when I read this, but I liked it nonetheless. It was powerful despite its simplicity.

8 year olds cannot feel the heart of the tree, they are simply too happy living life.........middleaged women in crisis feel the heart of every living creature

Thanks...to each of you...each for a different reason, but each sincere. I needed for this particular poem to be read, and you each cheer me.

In just a few words, you took my mind in two wildly different directions... How a careless act can have such repercussions... and how my feet dragged each time I was sent to cut peach tree switches for my own chastisement. *S* Though I guess they're not so disparate after all...  something that should have been allowed to grow and blossom becomes stunted and shriveled and just exists. *S*

Sorry... didn't mean to write a dissertation! LOL Your wonderful write touched. *S*
