From balmy Indian summer breeze
The wind expounds sub zero freeze
And brings to light on shades of gray
The first of winters dances play

In cotton swirl these flakes of white
That gathers softly new and light
A dry set coat of fine grain snow
About the towns in blankets grow

Such acrobatics fill the air
In tiny shapes petite and fair
And dancers all upon the fall
Beginning ends a season’s call

What perfect timing for a beautifully written piece.  About 8 inches of this white stuff is lying around tonight.  Enjoyed the read.

Kathleen~
Your poetic thoughts as soft as the first falling snow~

'Such acrobatics fill the air
In tiny shapes petite and fair'

Yes, they do, don't they ?

LOVELY PENNING~

Aye, one man's beginning...
is another man's end...
so it is with seasons,
everlasting,
ever evolving...

Change is good.

Beautiful thoughts here, Kathleen!

The corps de ballet create an intricut ballet of beauty in delicate flakes of white lace.

This was wonderful!  Snow does in fact create the nicest ballet doesn't it?

Kathleen, this is a delightfully calm and beautiful write. If only life could be this easily transitioned.
