What Was I Going To Say Black pen , white paper My thoughts a little grey Would I find the words What was I going to say Hoping to fill the blanks Often I paused this way The need of inspiration What was I going to say Thoughts refuse to spill They gather day by day Would you understand What was I going to say Reviewing the situation In my roundabout way My emotions circulate What was I going to say Onto tear stained paper Penning through grey Could I pass this point What was I going to say In arriving at this stage My feelings in disarray If you return thoughts What was I going to say Hope©2003 |
