Your rose never opened,
like an aborted flight
tainting great expectations
with disappointment,
staggering over in a
vase of murky water,
as i procratinate,
for days now, accessing
and obsessing over where
to place you in the
lineage of lovers, that
never delivered past the promise,
alternating between the kiss
of kindness in the tossing
of your tightclenched
but crimson red petals
to the wind's graceful flight,
or to the surge of the sea,
via the flush of toilet.

It's never an assembly line you know; each is different from any other, and some need special handling in order to bloom.

There may be some that are damaged, either before delivery or by mishandling afterward, but even those have some potential. I'd look for that if I were you, and not be too fast with that flush.

Oh, I have to come back for an edit because I almost forgot the corollary question:

                                                   Were you?

Hey Buddy,,,,,lighten up. I am not sure where you are going with your post but I think it was rude and insulting. If you want to be critical, do it in a nice way. You are gonna leave yourself wide open for negativity with what you post. And I can tell you Michele is worth it. Just read all she has posted and you will know. She has talent, wit and sense of humor others could emulate.

We're friends, and I just wrote a poem in her honor.... I figure I can tease her a bit if I want to.

What you think, Ink? Was I too mean for you? If so, tell me and I'll scratch it out!

But I have a feeling you got the point, though this brooklin fellow seems to have missed it.

Michele, I love reading you, though I don't know what to reply sometimes. You are just as cute as a button, you know. Your personality shines through in your posts, and I think you are a good friend to know.
Hugs to you, sweet lady
