hey!, i found this in the challenge forum and i know its already been done (by me) but i haven't written in forever and i really needed something. so yea...its not awesome or anything to be proud of...but hey! it's something

I am the tears that fall and the smile behind them
I wonder if the stars are to numerous
I hear your silence weeping before me
I see all the wonders you haven't achieved
I want to be in your arms one last time
I am the tears that fall and the smile behind them

I pretend that nothing has ever hurt me
I feel like the worlds don't want to close in
I touch feathery wings of my guardian angel
I worry that time will never grant me my wish
I cry for every time I thought I had you
I am the tears that fall and the smile behind them

I understand simpicity can sometimes be to great
I say that everything exsists for a purpose
I dream of all the things I can't ever have
I try to not fall down into the grasps of life
I hope someday life will return to its rituals
I am the tears that fall and the smile behind them

* the pouring rain kisses my lips with innocence as you look into my eyes *

I think, in a way, at one time or another, that all of us are like what you've described here in this poem...I can see myself well.

Thank you for sharing.
