Remember me?

Now blame the squirrel; I ain't up to explainin' this one. Well, where it came from at least. I must explain the tone, so I don't offend anyone who likes kids. This is the uber-colourful ultra-paranoid style of Smith in his coked up days. Y'know, The Top? Wild, crazy, screwed up, PARANOID, utterly nonsensical. My fave album. Heh.

ROBERT SMITH WAS EATEN BY CHILDREN

He was making himself
A teddy bear,
But now he’s not going
Anywhere.

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

Isn’t that his spidery hair
Being passed from little hand
To little hand
Over there?

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

They followed him
Because he was wild,
But now he’s in pieces
Because of a child.

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

With gnashing teeth
And glowing eyes,
The children crept up
In disguise.

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

(I hate children.
They’re so tiny.)

Isn’t that his
Muppet shirt
Being torn and dragged
All through the dirt?

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

(I’m afraid of stepping on them.)

He was from an age
They did not know;
Blink 182 is who
They were taught to follow.

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

An innocent mistake,
Recorded for his niece.
Now our dear Fat Bob,
May he always rest in peace.

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

Blink approached him meekly
And he coloured between the lines,
But poor Robert didn’t understand
That he was out of time.

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

It was the pre-teen punkling fans
Who closed their ranks on him;
Two heads shorter, but highly vicious,
They made his future rather dim.

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

He was making himself
A teddy bear
But now he’s not going
Anywhere.

Robert Smith
Was eaten by children!

-11-20-03-

(dedicated to Robert Smith;
I forgive you for working with Blink!)

remember the sound
that could wake the dead
but nobody woke up at all

Lori, you have been much missed
My God woman!
So good to see your words
brings me back my sense of
(in)sanity

LOL Mikey gets blamed for everything ~ and that is because he deserves it! Squirrels are notorious for making nests that we humans get entangled in.

BTW, thanks for the warning about children! From now on I will be more careful around them!

~ and may poor Fat Bobby rest in pieces! ~ I mean "peace"!

For some reason I can relate to your words all to well. Great message. Yes coke can make one insane. I here that blink has a great bassist and the Gtey Squirrels are particularly dangerous
