I still smile when I see the daisies,
Hear the wind, and watch my crazy friends
On sunny days in June.

I smile, still, with purity
And when I see a hungered need
For joy, and warmth, and care.
…For that I’ll smile, if I’m there.

For child’s eyes, I smile still,
But none of them are ever real...
Intruded by my body’s strain
Then ruined by a heart of pain.

- And so it was that time stood still -
     (blink, breathe, stand, fight)

A touching write from within a tender
and golden heart...of a gentle soul.

Thank You Allysa.
