Cabin of Yesterday

A spiraling vortex of ice and snow encircle
the tiny cabin of yesterday.
The wind, screaming like a wild crazed banshee,
howling with the volume of the ages.
Blowing, pushing ,crying -
Tearing down walls that once was
a haven for love, warmth and security.
Once a family resided within these now frozen
rooms of emptiness.
The family growing with the times.
Moved to an affluent area leaving behind their hopes and dreams.
Lost values of warmth and love
replaced with riches, loneliness, and suspicion.
This saddened family now stand before a mirror made of gold
wishing for the closeness
and the warmth of yesterday.
Let us return to the cabin in the woods
Leave these riches
and houses made of crumbling clay.
Let us return to our heavenly father
and to His hopes and never ending dreams.
Bring love, warmth
and
security back into our hardened hearts.
Let us return to our loving
Cabin of Yesterday.

Love Bon-Bon

I'm right there with ya, do we take a train or a bus?  Maybe a plane, where is it, I want to go there right now????? Hehehehhee

Lovely lovely write, bringing back thoughts of yearning for the olden days, when things wre simpler, people knew their neighbors, and people were more honest then...I remember purchasing 3 rooms of furniture on a minimal down payment and a hand shake????

Anyway, thank whole bunches for writing and sharing.  Love ya

Amen to that. When do we leave -- or are we there already, if we choose?
