In floral flushed questions, bending
to the tidal pull of my longings she asks
why do you love me? Drinking her
mouth, the moonlight plays on
bare skin, lighting my way through
her garden as I take to flight.
~
Why do you love me?

The color of roses: thorn cuts.
~
WHY do you love me?

Ethers gather in swirling
turning flushed wan moonlight.
~
LISTEN: WHY DO YOU
LOVE ME!?!! Touching me with words
woven, a blanket
wrapped in opaque bunting
while you monkey around?

Cards fall, fallen kings
and queens making flat love
on the carpet where
I preach to open ears, a
sermon of my moonlit wish...
~
Pretty woman scowls
parting her mouth to howl
at the harvest moon.
~
Man sings to Luna,
now laughing in her soup
above the silence.

First poem is a Sijo, then Mondo, then Katauta, a Somonka, and two Haiku.

Even with insects-
some can sing
some can't

But WHY do you love me????

As I smile pondering that question always unanswered.

This was inspired by my fiance who likes to ask that question at the oddest times.

Thanks for reading.

LOL, and of course, you never answer even though you always answer.

Enjoyed every line of this. BTW, nice to meet you!

The problem is, there are a million and three reasons why I love her!  Where do I begin?

It is nice to meet you too!

There it will forever be and stay..

I think I would be in trouble if I didn't at least say...well, your hair is nice and I enjoy the way you eat!   At least give her clues!

Thank you for reading and your response was golden!

Excellent composition....an intriguing
subject...one which many of us males
attempt to grasp daily...often...
infinitely...  welcome to Passions.

Thank you, Magnus.  I don't think I have ever been able to answer it to my darlings satisfaction.  Often she stops me and says...just kiss me and shut up!

Thank you, Icebox...

Turning to me, she
shadows me in her snowy
grace while laughing

Thank you Passing Shadows, we learn from each other, that is why it is important to read and learn and understand.  All of us will be the better for a combined effort to constantly improve!

Sparticus,

Deep into her eyes
I fall, swimming under
warm glints of sunlight
as her hair falls, a rainbow
curves her plump lips to a kiss.

Thank you for your response...good words that I live by...but still she asks!

This is a question I have never been able to answer.  I don't think it possible to put the emotion into words though I diligently try in my poems.  Wonderful write, and welcome to PIP!

Eyes and Joe...

Asking her, she speaks
hours on what you mean to
her, and still wonders.

This is my second post, but I will be doing many more, this site is full of great folk.

Sparticus.
