Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-11-16 06:59 AM

It starts easily enough
In waking to the chirp of
Early morn, seeking her light,
But it is when I draw away,
In search of my own road
I feel my burdens
Grow

But I know she is there,
Her silence allowing me to
Ponder matters
I would otherwise not share

For a toll is not only taken
As a scathing fee,
But a letting of soul ~
I’ve let mine once too often
Though hardly anyone knows,
But her

She has become my comfort
In dancing her words
Before me, she,
A delight in spring, becoming summer,
Falling in to winter ~
I need her ever seasoning
My soul

For the toll she expects
Is only to hear the carillon
Near the church
To match her steps
And pave my way
To know, in her, I may repose.

I am, to her, her natural witch.

When she smiles,
My heart is lifted,
The toll, extracted,
Our tomorrows entwined
In familiarity that has
No boundaries.

'twas a knowing one who told you that you were and are a natural witch...

smiling wide here.

(The sun is making cobalt and coral skyscapes so shy, if they blink? I will disappear...)

third time giddyglee me this lovely morning.

Off to the crypt I creep.

beautiful, Sunshine. I really like what you did with this place this mornin'.

I love this one Sunshine. It is such a peaceful piece. Of course it was thetitle that yanked me in for the read...well that and the nick of the writer. I must confess I was not disappointed by the words and am taking away that which I was seeking. (A little piece of you!) Thanks!

Oh, my .... there is such calm and peace in this wonderful piece. It amazes me how you can do these outstanding poems day after day. God has certainly gifted you and I am grateful that you share with us. I have learned so much from your writing.

You have a way of giving so much in feelings
that the title carries well into the written
verse...  Thanx Sun,  a sterling write.
