Perchance to dance is all I seek Fair Muse,
It matters not the song to which thee choose,
As long as we embrace, as one entwine,
Beneath the gentle glow of vespertine.
To feel the rhythm of thy coursing heart,
Against my chest, do not thee know thou art
Venus, jeweled goddess of the evening sky,
A radiant gem, who shines from heaven’s high
Upon a man, a mortal man below
Who seeks thy touch, sweet taste thy lips bestow,
Fair Muse, take of my hand and dance with me,
Across the width and breadth of welkin’s sea.
A lover’s waltz is all I seek, perchance
Fair Muse, to dance with thee in passion’s dance.

sometimes a dance is enough...and nothing more

Why do some of them always want more when only some is perfect?

Beautiful poetry language you have here, Sir.

No one should ever
turn down
such an invitation...
or invocation!

Thank you, Tim.

Oh wow! Love the meter...and the rhyme! Very well done sir. This is a fantastic piece and just made my #1 must read list of the day! Bravo!

Absolutely superb.  I love your images...a waltz with Fair Muse. How beautiful!  And then there comes the meter, the rhyme.  You have penned a perfect poetic package...  Everything I love in poetry.

What a lovely way to start my Sunday.

I think she was there, and if she wasn't WOW I really am going to watch for your writes when she is. If this is your offering when she's not around I can only imagine what's to come. Amazing!!
Love,
Terri~
