I was raised with strong family values.
Didn't matter that both parents died young.
I didn't choose drugs or booze.
I listened to what both parents sung.

I'm thankful they left me an older brother.
Without him life would have been insane.
He never knew he was my Linus cover.
He always knew how to ease the pain.

31 years later, he still is near.
My blood, my brother, my helping hand.
Sorry Ed, you had to see me tear.
But when I fall, I know where to land.

Oh brother, I know where you are!

This is a very nice tribute to someone very
special to you....It is also good that you
are both close in mind and distance...

Mine lives 3000 miles away....we get to see
each other about every three years or so...

Thanx for sharing this.

Such a special tribute, Julia...
you're not the only one

Very well done. Loved it and a great tribute to someone you care deeply about. I haven't spoken with my own brother in 5 years. Wish him and I could share such a bond...but alas he is stubborn headed. Fine piece of writing.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

loved the line *s  and yes I think family is very important and  find it so hard sometimes when others don't  have that in their lives...I am the one who makes sure we all keep in touch for that reason.

Hey Sis!
Thank you Julia, this was a sweet thing to do. I guess it's your job to make me look at myself, huh?

Yep, that sounds like PiP's Wranx! Solid and loyal and with a heart of gold! He'd be a great big brother to have! ~ and he's got a pretty terrific little sis himself!

Sending a to each of you!
