She was sitting at her table
sipping from a cup of tea
thinking in her lonely mind
is this all there is for me…

every day the same routine
no excitement in her life
since he didn’t want her
any longer as his wife

why should she shed tears she thought
for this guy anyway
didn’t she had more then enough
of his continuous betray?

that thought was the turning point
the tea went through the drain
and to celebrate this moment
she opened the champagne

but there was something else
she wanted to do first
she took the yellow pages
while she quenched her thirst

the bubbles woke up her spirit
put new life in her
and she filled her second glass
with a smiling ‘cheers’

flipping through the pages
not much time she spend
she found what she needed:

“Rent a sexy friend!”

Hi, Neeraja! It is great to see you posting again! ~ and might I add, this was a very moving poem! I got a chuckle out of the twist of lemon at the end! lol
