Here...I offer not only apologies ot the wrier it is intended to emulate, but may have to offer cash to avoid being sued... lol

Long stemmed waves
Failed to wipe the black ash
Dropped from your lips to mine
As we sat in tangles of shadow
Waiting for another silk screened morning
To be delivered

You said the night matched my eyes
Dark though the stars in refusal
Of anything but modern plastic
To cover up the nakedness
You saw beneath

I hold the bouquet
Offered to the sea that night
Only in blank verse

Cause words of you
Don’t rhyme

I know who the writer is ~ it's you! And I know who you are referring to! ~ It's me! I'm a "Non-American Beauty"! Well, at least I'm non-American! ~ I'm Canadian! lol

It all seriousness, I am intrigued as to who this "Beauty" truly is and whose style you are emulating! Whomever, whatever, this was a delightful poem!

(sigh) Oh Ron, this is beautiful, sweet friend, mad, I think not, as a true poet always is free to explore other forms and patterns and you do justice to him so well here! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
