Between the Lines

But Today

I am lost in my today,
the winds penetrating my thoughts still.
My pages torn, crumpled of failures,
a casualty of mood.

I wish for the touch that is unreachable.
I wish for the breath that is unbreathable.
I drew you long ago, the many erasures
a muse to my words.

But today I see myself alone, on an empty street,
tattered from ware of you,
grasping for the faded
before undressing the petals
that linger in fold, protecting
what is to be.

I am She, no more, no less,
hollow in heart wondering the whys,
no longer seeking fairy tales,
a foreclosure on my being
awaiting night's shadow to embrace
and place me there, in the fade of you.

Maybe and saying this only from my heart
this is a good thing

This was filled with more tools then not
But that paragraph stuck out and opened my eyes the most.

Thank you for sharing.

Maureen,
I would have picked the same paragraph.

I'm split in half... part of me wishes I'd written this, and the rest wishes that no one had to.

All the same, it's a beautiful piece of work, painful or no.

~ Yes, you is that she
And that's a good thing to be.
You write from heart and eyes
As you ponder, and wonder the whys.

The writing flowed very well - a story of loneliness in wanting and realization of a dream not to be, completely told.

Enjoyed!

wondering and wondering, killing us with wonder, must we have to wonder so much?
really could feel the thud of love here, good words

(smiles) You are only half-right, as you are She and you are special but never, NEVER say you're hollow, for you are so much more! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, today let She be jubilant, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maureen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
