Cowardly, flattened beyond humiliation
Rain falling steadily on hopes

I dance with the storm today

There a man arrives on horseback
Leaping down, frustrated and burned, yet

he is

A burly warm-faced man checking space
speaking no words, yet
The message was clear

I wear frayed and filthy rages
Scarred, broken, a nobody
Living in the blur of moment

Why should I care so...I shouldn't

Empty hours stall away from one
Humid Sunday late in August
Wearing advertisements for shoes
Vitamins and coffee tutoring
Do the lessons escape me like a slave
Upon empty hours stained

So much for Vitamin "C"

In a muffled roar while seated on a large stone
My freckles disappear, and the trinity
Soothing away, pulling me close
Telling me to keep my mouth shut

When will I ever listen?

If I could only find 18 hours, impeccably spoken
The entire world over, just 18 hours when
The fiddle begins to soften for all, everywhere

there is music...fathers dancing with sons...mothers
laughing, combing their daughters hair, there is
great harmony in the air...children retaining innocence...

Foretold is the ship like well kept hair…

Once again I am awaken to my over zealous aloofness

there are days we dance with the storm... and days we are flooded by all it drops on us...
