I'll also apologize to the poet that I've surely insulted here...This turns out to be way harder than I expected...But great fun.

The challenge is here   /pip/Forum7/HTML/000592.html

She shivers me
smiling white ice
speaking crystals

That glide uncertain
over the shards
of their brethren

Paving her a path
from ideas
in whithered parchment

To notions
writ in ether

I know who this is.  And I don't want to spoil the answer for anyone else by getting it on my first guess.  Let me just say I like how you took both this poet's likely subject matter and also their habitual treatment of it, and applied it to their style.  You're obviously a big fan of this person.

I knew as soon as I read the last few lines exactly who this was meant to emulate.  You did well, Ed.

When gentlemen can see
But microscopes are prudent
In an emergency.

You do your own challenge very well.  Smiling at the muse you masqued yourself with.
Well done, poet.

yep

you captured the reverence inherent
in his words

the reverence of life

the ability to SEE
instead of merely look

that means....

it is within you also
