Very interesting sentiment Lady of Light. This reminds me of the Japanese Haiku form sort of. In that form the three lines are divided into 17 syllables. Usually measured as 5-7-5. Your poem is very closely structured the same way. Your first line has 5 syllables, your second line has 7, but your third line has only 4. Still form being put aside this is a very lovely thought. Thank you for posting it and ***Welcome to Passions.*** I hope you enjoy the forum and stay with us a long, long time. (Big Hug!)

While some folks pronounce "real" with a long E sound, it is actually a two-syllable word.  A very nice Senryu, Lady.  Welcome to Passions!

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?

EV, this form is very much like Haiku which traditionally
deals with the subject of nature.  This particular form
is considered to be Senryu., also with a 5-7-5
format.  As Karilea noted the word real has the long e
sound.  Many times I find that pronunciation of the word
and the way it is spoken is often not the same so I usually
try to check the dictionary when in doubt.  Thank you
for the welcome and critique.

Sunshine....exactly!

Marge, dictionary.com is just like my trusty
old Webster dictionary that looks like it is ready
to fall apart but still gets used frequently.
Thank you for your comment.

Hello, Dear Lady of Light! I must tell you, that I have received a couple of emails asking if you and I are one and the same! To be quite honest with you, and I may be flattering myself, but I can understand how that could be perceived. The uncanny part of this is that "Lady of Light" was a name I had considered before I chose Earth Angel!

But I assure everyone who may read this reply, I have no other name at Passions other than "Earth Angel"! Angel's honor!

Dear Lady of the Light, I enjoy your poetry and somehow feel that indeed, we may be kindred spirts!
