Heart Hangs By A Thread

Its finding that strength
The further down I sink
I know many have said
I am stronger than I think

I used to have reasons
To share a daily smile
Until sadness sank me
Where all seemed futile

Time passes so slowly
I feel emotionally dead
Still clinging to the past
Heart hangs by a thread

I will let truth be known
Because to you I write
Could you read my heart
I always hoped you might
