Masterfully the crafted thought
of what is left and softly wove..
Beside a fire of glowing coals
embers orange in heated drove...

This art to wend and weave,
to place a hankie within it’s grieve.
To sift the sand from in it’s sieve
and skillfully bestow a leave.

Was through a count of centuries
before the candle’s wick did cry,
a wanted blend of elegies
for those...departed, die.

And from the grass of lofted view,
the courtyard of one’s grave.
A master’s words then read anew...
Of verse...once thought a rave.

As wisdom winds the tempered vine
into poetic skies...
A poet reads a master’s line
as a tear drop now falls, now dries.

It's always a treat to read your words... even if envy inevitably rears its head. *G*
