STANDARD POETRY-PHILOSOPHY
you think time
stands still
when you don't
think about it

you think dreams
are real
if you don't
wake from them

and all you
did and are
to do, you do
as an automatic fool

and if you realize
death as the inevitable
end to all life
only flight into
religion can keep
you sane enough
to live another day
without questioning
its meaning.

Like Traci
you can overcome
many hinderances
on the way
to the end

temporal insanity
may haunt you
sometimes
but what you did
is past
today's its
recycled memory

days, hours, years
pass by
and you deserve
to dress insane
tonight

but flight from
uncertainty
is only blinding
you right now

this is directly
from me to Traci
advice is non-advise
and hollow truth
will just not last!

thanks a lot for your kind words. I am posting some of my poetry on a message board at www.tracilords.com. Since all poetry posted there has to relate to Traci Lords I have come to craft poems at least containing her name. Why Traci Lords? Because after reading her autobiography "Underneath It All", I felt inspired by her strength os spirit and decided to celebrate her with poems. Of course you can always check some of my work online at www.magicsolias.com. Again, I'm so happy to hear from all of you and will continue to post new poems as long as inspiration is mercifully seething through me. I write poetry for over ten years.
