Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-11-07 10:25 PM

Arts & Fire

As the vocalist strives to grow
then round the bridge
from raw and raunchy, fooling around
before they try, then
sing that sound in
search of a soul

and you know it when your spine tingles

then they are the ones
who can play an octave as if it were
a ladder hung over their heads
on a school ground again,
and somersault
the air

~*~

As he, or she, touches
their own musical
instrument, their connection
to sound, it is from ear,
and bone, inside out and almost,
upside down

and you know it when your spine tingles

then you hear
one’s birth in earth, as time
is resonant to heat of the heart,
and blood bubbles
in syncopated stimulation
and a tap of foot
returns to earth

~*~

Then…there is the one
who picks up
a quill, hesitantly, then,
with a  vigor, a need,
who hears the song of tempo
beating the earth’s drum

and you know it when your spine tingles

this,
is the art of the poet, who
aligns the song to an instrument
then sometimes, with no coronet
nor guitar, let alone a trill of
key, be it brass,
or ivory,
need be.

~*~

This art
of fine tuning
a song,
or a note,
or a line, once wrote,

is never wasted
upon those, who consume
the fire.

No, my fellow poet friend...it is never
wasted...and yes,  the spine does tingle..
and sometimes even the hand shakes a bit
or a tear wells in an eye...before the
sound of a soft yearning sigh...

No,  never wasted...

A most curious title . . . drew me to the flame.
The art and the work of it.

(smiles) Every element of a poets voice means something and has its own significance, and in time one can discover just what each pitch, each cadence signifies! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is true white art, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

In awe I stare at lighted screen,
And feel the tingle of painted scene.
A sketch so telling of your mien
gives out support on which I lean.

"sing that sound in

"and blood bubbles

"This art

whoa! This is so creative, and so dead on it....the poetry is the music of the writer!
LOVED this!!!

and as you know by my reaction and reply to your last couple ... your poetry is more than capable of evoking those tingles...
and day in and out you consistantly write at a level that serves proof to the talent you possess. You make your own kinda music on your own kind of keys...

Play it again Sun

You are so very right, and the image so very apropos.
