I admire you, Jessica,
for standing up to history
and setting the story
straight.
You said you are not a hero.
You said the heros
were those who died alongside you,
and those who struggled to rescue you.
But you are wrong.
For to me
heros are the ones who speak the truth,
and in doing so,
you have become a hero
in my eyes...
and I am one of those
who do not support war.
But I hope you accept that,
and know my views are honest,
and that I am not traitorous.
You are one very special soldier,
Jessica,
and I salute you,
for your honesty.
Namaste,
Peace.
With an open heart and mind
I wish for you
great healing thoughts,
and I thank you sincerely
for the moments of your life
you have given us.

I do not use the word hero very often, and feel it is greatly overplayed. In fact, I don't recall anytime recently when I've used that word except for people who have gone so far out of their way to help others that the word could even fall from my lips. But when someone stands up and speaks the truth as Jessica did today, I do salute her.  For it would be so easy to sit back and let the military and/or the media gloss you over and make you into something larger than life. For NOT letting them do that, you, Jessica, stand so much taller in my eyes.

When I think about soldiers male, or female I think about all the creature comforts they leave behind, all the family and friends, and places and things that are familiar, and I feel an ache for them. It's painful to think of all the pain they must go through just getting through all this and especially when it looks like there's not an end in sight. I have nothing but admiration and honor for them. Thanks for sharing this. It's beautiful what she has done, and so many that are unsung and unspoken as well.
Love,
Terri~

Kacy,  thank you for seeing what you saw
from Jessica...  I see the same thing...
And yes,  it is sometimes hard to find
those that we consider heroes...  Each of
them that have risked their lives,  and
those who have given their life for our
freedom,  have my greatest respect.  I salute
each of them...

May they all be remembered and thought of
on Veteran's day...as well as each day of
our lives when we exercise our freedoms..

Kacy,
thanks for the link was going to ask you for one anyhow . .
the thing is exactly that . . .
why are the hero's the ones who
survive?
messed up world we live in
and what a beautiful soul
Jessica possesses . . .
like your very own

(big hugggsssssss) Walter Schirra once said, "You don't raise heroes, you raise sons. And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your own eyes.". I believe this also well applies to our daughters, and Jessica Lynch is truly more of a hero than anyone else during this ridiculous war. She is the most honest out of all the characters I've seen from this period of istory thus far, and for that I commend her! My only wish is that those made-for-TV movie makers can write off that story and re-write it with her honest integrity, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
