* * *

The wind swept along the cliffs
As white caps filled the raging sea
I could hear the beast within
Trying desperately to break free

From the comfort of my car
I watched the seagulls try to fly
The wind was unforgiving
As storm clouds filled the sky

Nature's show was so spectacular
It was the greatest show on earth
As the sky became more ominous
To the rain the clouds gave birth

I sat and drank my coffee
I was comfortable and warm
Watching from my front row seat
I sat waiting for the storm

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

I really liked this.   It was very easy to visualize.   I would say that it had a nice flow to it, but I suppose that might not be "too appropriate," as the beast raged and the waters were pretty rough!  Nice write.

(smiles) Yay! Oh Sue, I just discovered what Santa does in his spare time, enjoy the beach and feed all the seagulls and creatures of the sea! (kiss on cheek) I love ocean storms and can't wait to move to Portland, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Oh, that is so cool!..I've done that before... I love a good storm... lightning, thunder.... Hail even... I would sit on my porch and watch it surround me with such energy.  I enjoyed the trip back into a memory this poem provided me.... Excellent view.... fantastic write!!!

Last week I stopped at this place to drink my coffee and felt inspired to write about what I was seeing.  I didn't have my notebook with me so I had to resort to writing on the cardboard carton my McDonald's coffee came in but I was so glad I wrote it down.

Thank you all for your fabulous comments.

Noah - thank you so much for the wonderful picture - I love it!

Take care........Sue

Sue:  This is a wonderful write and the picture really compliments it!  I love the sea in all her moods and could really relate to this.
