Staring into the mirror of what has been my broken life
Piece by piece I pluck them from the floor so I can see..
The First piece that will enable me to be a loving wife

One clear piece of the mother I wish to be
Three splintered pieces which make up my core
One cracked piece of my past I do NOT  wish to see

One jagged piece for all the pain I ve caused

I would have done this sooner but it seemed such the chore
For so long I' ve wanted these pieces to come together
For so long I' ve longed to be whole
For so long I' ve held up in less than fair weather
For so long I' ve been looking for this missing piece to my soul

It is and has always been right here inside me

There are only three beings worth of respect; the priest, the solider and the poet; To know, To Kill  and to create.

For so long I' ve been looking for this missing piece to my soul

and we search for what seems to be an eternity to find that it is within us all the time.  Very well done.  Welcome to Passions, I am looking forward to reading more of your work.
