Dark gray of low suspended clouds which cast a somber pall.
This time you shall not have your way with me, no, not at all.
Inside, the fire burns cheerily, it's brightness keeps me warm,
your dreary countenance aside, you're just another storm.

You glower, I should speak to you, with merriment and cheer.
Unleashing gusts to flatten crops, but, harvest has been here.
The larders's full, safe stored away, so threaten all you will,
I smile and stoke the flames again, and let my laughter spill.

Today your rage won't bother me, I've set such things aside,
uncaged the bird of paradise, and watched him as he glides
above you in the flawless blue of skies that are serene.
Your fury is of no concern, it washed the windows clean,

that I may gaze upon a day that others might disdain
and laugh about this knucklehead who's talking to the rain.

Sea,
Yep, not even storms like this one could phase me when I wrote this. Today was a different matter. Oh well. Thanks for your reply, and aptly placed picture.
Doc
Pilgrimage,
Thanks much. I'm glad it made you smile, that's what it's all about.
Doc
Sy,
Thank you kind sir. As usual I have been quite remiss in not perusing my fellow poets work, it may be time to get the big-a** paddle out. Again , my thanks.

suthern,
Yeah, it's tough to find a poet who does windows. Well, on second thought, maybe not!
Thanks
Doc
Sadelite,
A storm's what you make of it, I guess.
Thanks.
Doc

And a big pile of sunshine for you!
Doc
