Listening to every heart

Won’t work
never does
no escape
onto film
not me
standing there
looking at you
caught in transparency
more like a fish
caught on lines
of words

Plainly, poetic memories
of photoed poet
seeing why
there’s no
reason to see
beyond words

for they are
not what you thought.

Might we see in the eyes
what lies
in the mind

"you didn’t capture my spirit
with this one
nor that one
this is no good
cast this aside..."

but my mind says,
wait,
look here,
in the old black and white
of the child
that I was
when I was young

when you were
slightly

older than I

here, you can spy
the look in my eye
of dreams in my soul
to be fulfilled some day
some way
some how
somewhere
in time

before you came about
before you were known
before you were shown

the poet in me

and now,
what was
your candid
camera query?

Oh yes! Have I ever lived these scenes! Thank you for saying it better than I ever could have done.

I love it! Makes me want to pull out the Nikon and begin snapping pictures. Bravo my friend. A must read for sure.

I loved those lines...somewhere, somehow, someway...
