Moved from a shack to a barn

Dusk brings them
Dozens diving striving
to alight from flight

Filling the Locust
in alate gusts

As if trying to populate
re-foliate
the wind stripped branches

Replacing leaves long gone
with feathers, beaks
and bickering chatter

Then, the quiet
precedes the riot
swelling the air
with the smoke of wings

Leaving the the Locust
empty

quivering

As bare as the sky

"In looking Northward, I see a light"

Interesting like the crows' gatherings here.
Arising in a raucus cloud, in the dark, with only the city lights to see by . . .

My God how you take something simple
and make it grand

as bare as the sky . . .
Ohh mann . . . makes me feel like
having something in the palm of your hand
and letting it go . . .
only to realize later that THAT something
was indeed . . . very special

Always amazing me, baby
Love you
