The garden gate stands ajar
Barely a glimpse do I see
A gardener's paradise
Is now awaiting me

As I meander down the path
The blooms awaken from their dreams
There's a kaleidoscope of color
From reds to blues and greens

The faces of the pansies
Smile towards the morning sun
My day out in the garden
Has only just begun

The cherub statue sits up high
Surrounded by the pink rose blooms
The majestic cocos palm
High above him it looms

The weeds are always stubborn
In my garden they've no place
I admire my grecian goddess
With a smile upon her face

The sparrows come to feed
As they hop around my lawn
I can hear their babies calling
Just yesterday they were born

I pick up the garden hose
And spray each and every flower
I watch them come to life
As they enjoy their morning shower

The fragrance from my jasmine
Is something that I adore
This lovely scent from heaven
Keeps me coming back for more

This place I visit daily
Here there is peace and harmony
So why not grab a chair
And sit down here beside me

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Sue, I'm on my way! You truly do have your very own Shangri-La! I would love to join you in your garden ~ for a wonderful chit-chat while taking in the scents and splendor of the fragrant flowers.

Lovely poem, lovely garden, ~ lovely you!
