Rowing to the core of sea
We were seated facing each other
Deep pools of water lay still
Circles splashed, like expanding chenille
Melody carried precisely like a prayer
Of wet illustrations like humidity in the air
My face swollen with the smell of frescos
Dyed to match champagne, bleaching mauve to rose
To all forms of enhancements flabby, with regard for childhood

A countenance of shapes performing ballets
Pausing, ablaze within overflowing terraced gravity
Illuminating some deeper life, random, yet consistently threading
With a whole other meaning, bright beacons of indigo skies
Trailing like the flange of God…and His brighter one, Venus
Familiar elements trickled within my passions focus
Like a saga beginning, with magnificent topography
Simple tokens from a place inhabited with camaraderie
Claiming an element of life
Fuller then the threat of dark
Making itself felt most strongly
Arising to the pool of day…deep and dainty

Brightening sky was busy with residential birds traveling
Various patters of rubies marked their passage
Finding a thread of narrative utterance, picking at the crumbs
As laden with meaning like humans talking in poems
Declaring spring, summer, fall and winter’s demur
All season’s claiming source, root & heather’s stranger

Firm in this sight I realized the night was worth it
Along with the singing black crows peculiar wit
It is a method, wet-stoned and smooth
Some master plumage, over what we assume
Dimensional embodiment across the sky
Where numberless stores of refinements supply
Tips and ears of corn to be shelled
Warmed to the point of promising examples
So to, we may live by this expiring illustration

Fighting glorious, tragic and heroic
Beyond all powers along side of expressional mystic
Conclusive cradled my heart’s blood
Turning my boat toward failing peaces of antique design
Somewhat conscious features, wore mountains diminishing lines
An oath of allegiance, by an ocean’s unfathomable opened door
Amber rhythmic color of space, haply splashing peaks of color
Like a translucent shawl of marriage wrapped warmly around my shoulder

There my thoughts nestled within a pouch of velveteen
Where I heard the low scent of endless reason pristine
Looking on, I entered that deep flaming alter of mind
Where soul measures not, but blends with circles of time

Miles of glistening serene rolling acres of unbound air
Calming and graceful like two life-time companions
A chapel in the wilderness…long vaulted cathedral acreage
Preacher’s Cave….gleaming across the sigh of Glass Window Bridge
Isle of leeward deep blue oceans painting a place which lends itself
Seamanship having deep ancestral roots, for memorable loyalists

It was good to be home, being led by not one sound
But by the soft eves of improving illustration profound
Nature with true variance…lighting the candle
Of the eastern horizon….fixing to rise
Fluttering in its moments, so slowly that you could not
Have said exactly when…
Coming in time, waiting for the moon to rise,
Passing time in such wise swells of oceans
Breathing in a place of truth

Good Morning Everyone....Christians speak oft times of being saved....or giving their lives up to God.

Well, for me it was a little different, and experienced on an island in the Carribean several years ago...that is where I met God, and realized all those years of restlessness in my life...and in one sacred undefinable instant...coming home.

This poem is reality...to long or not...it's who I am...what I write, how I write...my name and insignia...

I have not found that place or had that moment hit me yet.

I suppose I need more restlessness.

Lee, this is very touching.
