suffocating hot
in the summertime...
and Leif lives on the second floor
      Mr. Solitaire
this attic apartment
with the cavecurved walls
and the ping  ping  ping of leakyroof
               pots and pans
the metallic tasting stairs
so many...
3 floors worth
for 3 feet of mama's boy
            for cheap paneling with
eyes living in them....
for an ancient dark tree
that loved me in thunderstorms
for centipedes that didn't love my cowboy
costume
           for the dark-eyed babysitter
that liked her boyfriend's pimples better
than my childhood
             for the cannonstorm
my mother's eyes found panic to love

...........
                     they were down there
on the second floor
the deep voices of faulty gods
            important as forest trees
but I rang
ringing my boyvoice down on them
   from the third floor steps
high pitched and
and
     urgent
it's urgent

    hey  hey godpeople?
this is urgent

so urgent
          I will help you
come
    to you
journey through
this
my finger....reaching to theirs
on a sacred ceiling
                        or was it actually
         a flashing ball of lightpainmovement..
this traveling to the depths of grownup
decay....and I tumbled down from on high...

I saw them then
             as redwoods with scared faces
how many faces will fit in your sky?

lifted
up
to heaven
heaven with it's one cheek and
         wonderfully smelling neck
and two big shoulders
and the horizon fastening itself around you...
keeping you from spinning off
into the dizzy unknown

I just wanted to say...

the timer went off
             for the cake
I'm sorry I fell
please, the cake, it will burn

ping   ping   ping

Good God Bri . . .
you just took me up that staircase
into a reverie,
placed me in that attic within
your storm and I saw that boy
pleading . . .
then I stood,
right back on that staircase again

how many faces will fit in your sky?

lifted
up
to heaven
heaven with it's one cheek and
         wonderfully smelling neck
and two big shoulders

Good God I saw them lit in the night
from the thunder . . .

Love seeing you writing and this
mannn Bri . . you made me look deep
a masterpiece . . .
(then you will tell me oh this?
THIS?  ohhh this is just a thang . . .)
*smile*

Listening to every heart

I got the distinct impression
of listening to the sounds of a room's
old radiator beginning to heat
in winter transition.

Well done, Sir...

Ye gods!
And to think that I may have been such a redgodwood....and that you are now.

Hmmmm, something to ponder

(big hugggsssssssss) Oh my gosh, and I just watched "The People Under The Stairs" last night, wow, through thin walls and crawlspaces you can hear so much more, I wish there were others within my world! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Brian, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

There is only one thing to be said more profound than that bri:

"hey  hey godpeople?
this is urgent"

Made me grow arms to comfort.

Clear blue liquid light.

(love you)
