~*~

After the fire and rain collides
you are a breath of fresh air
blowing through my hair.

Autumn leaves scatter at my feet
I feel you there in the wind
surrounding my all.

I know the sound of your whispers
and I hear you clearly
eluding all distortions.

A bouquet of roses sits on my window sill
arranged just so in a bud vase
tending to my love on display.

As each petal opens
falling all over for you
again and again and again.

The way it's always been
and was meant to be
forever, so soft to the touch.

Nancy~  I'm taking lessons from you....doncha know?
Thank you sweets.

Martie~ Ok then, how 'bout this being my pretty in pink reply?
Thank you so much Martie girl~

It was one of those picture perfect days after the rain.
The bluest kind that washes away the gray.  (oh my hair, my hair)
Glad you you liked this, thank you Chris.

I'm sitting here trying to picture the garden.
It's nice to know I conjured up such a lovely thought.
Thank you very much wordwizard~

No, Bluesy - don't ever wear pink!  Blue is the colour of the sky and we're designed therein to fly!  Well, okay then if you must but lean more towards the darker shades for red is the colour of love and red the fire within.  Sorry but it is Sunday and I'm known to say strange things on a Sunday.  Keep burning your words into hearts!

Bluesy?
for some odd reason these
lines struck me:

A bouquet of roses sits on my window sill
arranged just so in a bud vase
tending to my love on display.

maybe because when I ever do get flowers
My God I am so proud of them '
as you should be
*smiling*
tell me this is so

(smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, this made my heart smile as I am so happy for you and wish for your heart to forever be touched with rosepetals! (kiss on cheek) This is mesmerizing, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

How did I miss this one!?!?!

Those words just go together so well.... I particularly like those lines above.  They speak as if they are coming from my own heart.  It is a gift to know that someone else holds the same allusions.
Very well done!

Oh, dear Bluesy One, you truly do have a "Soft Touch" to your writing. Each stanza could stand on its own. Simply lovely.
This is as soft as a pink rose petal and ever so sweet.

~ May love always be as gentle and comforting in your life...

Thank you everyone, but it's just a front,
simply because I want to write happy and let it be.   Hugs and all that good stuff.
