Soul Of A Woman Heart-soul loves little babies at the moment of birth, smiles on happy faces, laughter in the wind, whispered secrets, holding hands, first kisses, moonlight through the trees. Heart-soul loves these things…so easily. I need the soul of a woman to slide along my own, to slip inside, to fill the empty holes that time and years have worn; to create warmth where cold has lived so long, to give me reason… to show me love again. I need a woman’s heart, her hand on mine, her lips, her arms, her eyes… seeing me – I need the soul of a woman to slide along my own, to slip inside, to show me how to love… again. I need to smile, not cry, to walk, not crawl, to see sunlight in the dark, rainbows in the sky, I need to love again . . . as I did with you, I need the soul of a woman to slide along my own, to slip inside, to show me how to love… again. w.james beard, jr (c) 2003 |

I need the soul of a woman to slide along my own, to slip inside, to show me how to love… again Here's to the soul of a man and learning to love again. I would be happy to come close, if I could stand the pain of letting go again. But that's another poem entirely. Geez James, this is quite nice! |

Ethel - it happened 29 years ago this coming December... Greeneyes - as long as we can still dream we're ahead of the game . . . it's just a matter of time. It's when we cease to dream that we hold a losing hand. Ahh Blues - Life IS love, and to love is life itself and though it hurts when it goes away, it hurts because it's never truly gone, and I would rather hurt some every day of my life, than to not love at all. And for those who truly want it, it Always comes again - hopefully for the last time but last only if it goes on without end, and I have much faith in the rest of Your life growing wonderful, my friend. Beautifully written! Yes, some things only a woman can do but only if she's allowed - some channels are too narrow for her to slide along and only a man can empty and clear the residue, rest, and remainder, of how he thought he was meant to be. |

Jimmy the soul of any woman would indeed be blessed if touched by your soul. This is beautiful and has a very soft quality to it that I simply love. Thanks to everyone for the read and the words (as ALWAYS!) and Gentle Spirit - I never mind. Although this was written ...soul of a woman... I firmly believe what it says is not gender specific, but should be species applied, as some of you, more or less, noted; I believe love, affection, doing unto, and so forth, keeps the grass green on both sides of the fence...as those who know me through this forum have probably already surmised, thought the aplication of such, at times, truly test's one's meddle. jimmy [This message has been edited by jwesley (11-01-2003 01:44 PM).] |
