In Your Poetic Mind

Stillness of night

do you think of
me in summer?

my  reflection   ripples
of dawn,    gentle calling in
   orchid dreams
beneath   moon

Silver touching   times mystery    --
petals falling   upon
rain
brushing gentle lips blending
in climax of storm

Should I write of
my passion
to love?

until veils  of dusk
have    fallen
in Autumn's dew

and grass bleed
   memories

Cleanse my years of darkness
I have worn since his death

haunting silence     upon
weeping  stones

my canvas so empty

Do you remember me
  when winter falls?,

how   earth  is frozen -- {or}
   my heart    cold,  my tears
breaking   the surface --

I bare my palms
to escape the waters

here
  to remember your name,
harpist  of amber nights --

full of stars and sky

play your fingers,  among
my flesh    softly

Does spring matter   now?
must  I await rebirth? --   &

horizons fading    merging gold with
  songs of strangers  weaving
me   together

~~
Stillness of night stay
so that I may remember
his touch of soul

between worlds
and words

Will the wind ever remember the names
it has blown in the past with
its crutch its old age and its widsom
it whispers no this won't be the last

This is a perfect blending of the seasons and the yearning we have for them, and for others when they are gone. Wonderful imagery and emotions. I really liked this.

This is definitely one I wish I could/have write/written, but if anyone had to do it, I'm glad it was you -- beautiful, my friend.

what can I say that I have not said before...
every single breathtaking word is written across my heart and felt in places my muse wont allow me to go. So I again, exhale in your stunning expressions.

Words break into splinters on the pages I write
If I lost you I don't know what I'd do ...
Burn forever where the flame turns blue

No one could read a poem of yours, Dear Lauren, and not be affected in some way. Your words touch hearts, minds, souls ~ and perhaps even the bodies of some of Pip's readers who are of the male persuasion! lol

Lovely poem and lovely Lauren.

Greeneyes, your empty canvas is white....the sum of all colors.

Sometimes your depth amazes me.

Lauren, to only say the word "beautiful"
for your poems, seems so inadequate. I do
love your writing, my friend.

Saying this is incredibly lovely doesn't begin to do it justice... but it is. *S*

everyone else wrote so much in response...
but I ran out of words. You hit me hard with this...
I'll be thinking on it, for awhile now.
