Abandoned limbs
spent reckless hours
~still
with so much green
surrounding tall toes

Did I stunt
by sitting upon roots not finished in growth?

Working in the twist of strange circles
going nowhere but ~around~
scraping scuffed shoe free of polish

Did I warn you
I became worn beyond recognition with little to say?

Where this black silhouette watches
from pillars and chains
you may notice
he has worn my tongue to repetition
chanting over the missing hours

I envy the heavenly mystery of crow
his silken feather strikes conversation
with the eye of passer by

Whilst I
creeping moss
grown upon the wall of unkept garden
breathe stone syllables
unheard.

love this.. remind me sometime to tell you the story of stone.. and of how to speak to stone on has to wait for many years to hear the answers, as stone does not measure time as we do...

stone syllables... are often unheard, because we do not listen long enough..

"Worn beyond recognition with little to say"
How well I know this feeling!
Good words!

In my garden ....

    your words never go unheard,
     just unanswered now and then!

Time has a lasting effect on us all,
but your words find me timelessly,
        again and again.

Hope time finds you well.  ox

to strike a chord within the soul
