Why is it you feel
the need to discredit
one as insignificant as I?
Don't you
have anything better to do
with your time?
What do you care?
What does it matter to you
whether

What's it to you?
Is it any business of yours?

by your choice
closed that door.
You wondered to me
in thought,
What would my friends
think
of me
If they knew
I cared for you?
After all you'd said
after all the revenge
and hate
you'd sought.
Well you wanted
all your friends.
I didn't fit in
You cared more
for what they'd think
than anything to you,
I had ever brought.
I remember a time
when I thought
Maybe you lurked
in the corners
dark places
behind walls
where I wouldn't
know it was you
just so you could
see my name
come to your sight.
Remember that?
But they all meant
more to you.
I wonder why,
why is it
they couldn't
share you?
Why didn't
they care?
Why didn't
they?
Why didn't
they see
what
you
want-
ed?
If
they
love,
couldn't
they
see
you
want-
ed
me
in
your
sight?
Why
didn't
they
aide
you
in
your
fight
to
have
that
thing

I have wondered down this road, Terri. Finally, I decided it was his loss. You did a wonderful job of describing this "wonder." You took me back to that time in my life, which, by the way, was a time of growth for me.
