He was
my skeleton key
carried soft upon hip

With lashes that unlocked
sweat and shivers
from eyes to spine

He was
linen on the line
in country breeze of where he lived

A field of entwined fingers
and lovers gaze
he filled every inch

And I
awake in love
imagine how anyone could compare

With that in mind
I toast the end
of shutting me out

For all that he was
he lay short of everything
I deserve

For all that he was
he lay short of everything
I deserve

he sure did and am glad you see that
now have some tea, go look in the mirror

Awesome write.

We are all equal but we’re individually different
and able to reach the impossible if we try.
